My watercolour motifs portray movement and mood in the present, the impression of the moment and the changes of light in the landscape. I always have a figurative starting point, and I seek the contrasts in my watercolour paintings: Between light and dark, soft and hard, cold and warm. At the same time, I seek to portray the motif’s soul – whether I’m working with humans and animals, still life or landscapes.
